Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. cake flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 unbeaten eggs
Preparation
    Sift together first 4 ingredients, then add shortening, vanilla and 2/3 cup milk.
    Beat two minutes, then add remaining 1/3 cup milk and eggs.
    Beat two minutes more.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven in layer or loaf pans.
