Whole Wheat Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 heaping Tbsp. shortening
1 c. buttermilk
1 pkg. dry yeast
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warmed buttermilk.
Mix the flour, salt, soda and sugar together.
Add the buttermilk and shortening to the flour mixture.
Roll out in white flour.
Let rise until double, about 1 hour at room temperature.
Roll out again and cut into biscuits.
Let rise 10 minutes, then bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
