Mother'S Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    4 c. scalded milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Lightly beat egg yolks in top of double boiler.
    Gradually add milk, sugar and salt.
    Cook over hot water, simmering and stirring constantly until sauce coats the spoon.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and allow to cool.
