South Jersey Tomatoes And Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 4 Jersey tomatoes
1/2 c. flour
salt and pepper
sugar to taste
Heritage milk
1 to 2 Tbsp. Heritage butter
Preparation

Skin tomatoes and slice; dip tomatoes in flour seasoned with salt and pepper to taste.
Melt butter in fry pan over low-medium heat.
Place floured tomatoes in fry pan with butter.
Sprinkle sugar on tomatoes and cook slowly.
When tomatoes are fried, remove them and add milk and flour to fry pan to make gravy.
Stir slowly until thick.
Place tomatoes on platter and pour gravy on top.
