Easy Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. dry uncooked rice (instant)
    1 envelope dry onion soup mix or onion-mushroom soup
    1 chicken, cut up (selected or pieces)
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Put rice evenly in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle dry soup mix over rice.
    Place chicken parts on top of mixture.
    Dilute soup with 1 can of warm water and pour over contents in dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Cover with foil.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 until chicken is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
    May uncover and bake 15 minutes longer to brown.
