Oatmeal Crispies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 well beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. oats (Quaker oats cook in 1 minute)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Thoroughly cream shortening and sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.
Add oats and nuts.
Shape in rolls; wrap in waxed paper and chill. Slice 1/4-inch thick and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 10 minutes. Yields 50 cookies.
