Glorified Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
Preparation
    Blend the following with pie crust blender until fine: flour, shortening, sugar, salt and cinnamon.
    Save 1/2 cup for later use. Add soda, ginger, egg, molasses and sour milk; mix well and place in greased square baking pan.
    Spread the 1/2 cup dry mixture on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
