Toll House Mud Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. and 2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. softened butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
    nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In bowl, combine flour, soda and salt; set aside.
    In bowl, beat brown sugar, butter and vanilla until creamy; add egg and beat well.
    Gradually add flour mixture.
    Stir in 1 1/3 cups chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
    Spread in foil lined 9-inch square baking pan.
    Bake for 23 to 25 minutes. Immediately sprinkle 2/3 cup chocolate chips over top.
    When morsels are shiny, spread evenly.
    Chill to set chocolate.
    Cut into 2 x 1-inch pieces.
    Makes 36 bars.
