Northern Style Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cornmeal
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. milk
3 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine (or butter-flavored Crisco)
Preparation

Toss dry ingredients to mix.
Beat eggs; add milk and butter. Then add to the dry ingredients and stir just until moistened. Pour batter into a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch square baking pan.
Bake in preheated oven about 30 to 35 minutes or until browned and center comes out clean when tested with a toothpick or knife.
