Old-Time Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. oleo
    nutmeg
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Blend eggs and sugar; add salt and flavoring.
    Slowly add scalded milk, while stirring.
    Pour into pastry lined 9-inch pie shell.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg and dot with butter.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until firm.
    It will set some more as it cools.
