Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 can drained cherries (save the juice)
Preparation

Combine sugar, egg and pecans.
Add dry ingredients, alternately, with milk.
Fold in cherries.
Pour batter into 8 inch pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
Cut into squares and serve with sauce.
