Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. onion, diced
    1/2 c. celery, diced
    1/2 c. carrots, diced
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 c. milk
    3 cans chicken broth
    1/8 tsp. baking soda
    1 lb. Kraft American cheese
    1 Tbsp. dried parsley
    2 tsp. salt (I don't use because broth is salty)
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. red pepper
Preparation
    Melt butter. Add vegetables and saute on low. Stir in flour and cornstarch and cook until thick. Gradually add milk and chicken broth, stirring with whisk. Add soda and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted on medium heat. Add seasonings and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. Top with paprika.
