Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    4 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 3/4 c. hot water
    4 1/2 Tbsp. fresh lemon rind
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in small saucepan. Gradually stir in hot water.
    Stir and cook 3 - 4 minutes or until sauce is thickened.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Heat only until hot.
    Serves 12.
