Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    6 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    3 tsp. lemon extract
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter, add egg yolks one at a time, beat after each.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture alternately with milk.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Add to mixture.
    Add extract and lemon peel.
