Apple-Carrot Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 apples, pared and thinly sliced
    2 1/2 c. cooked, sliced carrots
    6 Tbsp. brown sugar
    grated rind of 1 orange
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. fresh orange juice
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar, rind, flour and salt.
    Place 1/2 of the apples in buttered dish, then 1/2 of the carrots.
    Cover with 1/2 of the sugar mixture.
    Repeat.
    Pour orange juice over all and dot with butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
