Poppy Seed Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. poppy seed
    1/4 c. milk
    6 eggs
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. lemon flavor
    1 tsp. almond flavor
    1 tsp. butter flavor
Preparation
    Soak
    poppy
    seed
    in
    milk.
    Cream
    the shortening and sugar. Add eggs.\tAdd
    poppy seed mixture to buttermilk, then add soda, salt
    and
    flavorings
    to
    buttermilk mixture.
    Add flour and milk-buttermilk
    mixture
    alternately to shortening mixture.
    Bake in a
    greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan for 1 1/2 hours at\t350\u00b0.
    Cool
    in
    the
    pan for 10 minutes. Turn out and top with glaze, if desired.
