Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. ripe banana, mashed
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with banana, blending well after each addition.
Stir in nuts. Pour into well-greased 9 1/2 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until done.
Remove from pan; cool on rack.
Slice when cool.
Store in refrigerator.
