Sauerkraut Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Italian sausage, cut in 1-inch slices
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 apples, peeled and quartered
    1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut (undrained)
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 tsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    In a skillet, cook sausage and onion until sausage is brown and the onion is tender.
    Drain.
    Put into a 2 1/2-quart baking dish and stir in apples, kraut, water, brown sugar and caraway seed.
    Cover.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Garnish with parsley, if desired.
    Serves 6 to 8.
