Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. American cheese
    1 c. corn meal
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 can corn (whole kernel)
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. Wesson oil
    1 c. milk
    1 onion
    2 cans jalapeno peppers, chopped
Preparation
    Grate American cheese; set aside.
    Mix remaining ingredients. Pour 1/2 of the batter into 10 x 10-inch pan.
    Spread cheese over batter.
    Cover with remainder of batter.
    Bake for 45 to 50 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until done.
