Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. round steak
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 green peppers, diced
    1 c. canned beef bouillon
    1 c. drained canned tomatoes
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 tsp. soy sauce
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Melt shortening in frying pan.
    Cut meat into 1-inch strips. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Place meat, onion and garlic in frying pan and brown.
    Add green pepper and bouillon.
    Cover and cook 30 minutes.
    Add tomatoes; simmer 5 minutes.
    Combine cornstarch, soy sauce and water.
    Add to meat mixture.
    Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Serves 4.
