Southern Fritters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 Tbsp. flour
6 Tbsp. cornmeal
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
Preparation

Sift flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Beat eggs with milk.
Add to sifted ingredients.
Quickly stir in melted butter or margarine and drop by teaspoonfuls into hot, deep fat.
Turn once to brown all over.
These puff up into round balls.
Serve very hot with maple syrup or honey or dust with powdered sugar.
