Soft Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1 c. baking molasses
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 c. boiling water
2 well beaten eggs
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
Preparation

Put sugar, molasses, butter, soda, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and butter in bowl and dissolve 2 teaspoons soda in 1 cup boiling water.
Hold soda water over bowl as it foams over cup.
Beat together. When well beaten, add 2 well beaten eggs the last thing before baking.
Bake in an oblong pan at 325\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream or as desired.
