Twenty-Four Hour Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. cabbage
1 large pod pepper
1 small onion
2 Tbsp. salt
1 c. vinegar
1 c. sugar
Preparation
-
Shred cabbage, pepper and onion.
Add salt and let stand 15 minutes.
Drain off liquid.
Add vinegar and sugar.
Let stand 24 hours, then drain off liquid.
Store in refrigerator indefinitely. Makes 3 pints.
