Seven-Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bowl shredded lettuce
    1/2 c. green onion, bacon bits, celery and/or bell pepper
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. onion
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Alternate the ingredients in layers.
    Top with dressing mixture.
    Sprinkle with grated Cheddar cheese and refrigerate several hours.
