Grandma'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup shortening
    2 cups sugar
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. lemon extract
    3 cups all purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, lemon extract and milk.
    Mix well.
    Add flour, baking powder and salt.
    Mix well. Chill 1 or 2 hours. Shape into 1 1/4 inch balls.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 11 to 13 minutes. Do not overbake.
    Cool 1 minute in pan.
    Place on wire rack.
    Yield:
    5 dozen.
