Fresh Vegetable Marinade - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 stalks fresh broccoli
    1 medium bell pepper, chopped
    1 small head cauliflower, broken into florets
    1/2 c. vinegar (I use 3 Tbsp. garlic flavored red wine vinegar, plus enough white vinegar to finish 1/2 c.)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. dry mustard
    1 small onion, grated
    8 large fresh mushrooms, sliced
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    1/2 c. oil
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. poppy seed (optional)
Preparation
    Remove florets from broccoli and cut into bite sized (don't use stalks).
    Combine broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, celery and green peppers; toss lightly.
    Combine remaining ingredients.
    Mix well and pour over vegetables.
    Chill at least 3 hours.
