Caramel Oatmeal Chewies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. Quaker oats
    1 1/2 c. plain flour
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
    3/4 c. margarine, melted
    1 c. chopped peanuts
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1 (12.5 oz.) jar caramel ice cream topping
    1/4 c. plain flour
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Combine flour, brown sugar, soda, oats and salt.
    Stir in margarine, mixing well. (Reserve 1 cup.)
    Press remaining onto bottom of pan.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes until light brown.
    Cool 10 minutes.
    Top with nuts and chocolate pieces.
    Mix caramel topping with 1/4 cup flour until smooth.
    Drizzle over chocolate pieces.
    Sprinkle with reserved oat mixture.
    Bake an additional 18 to 22 minutes.
    Cool.
