Smothered Okra And Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 lb. okra, cut
4 medium fresh tomatoes, peeled and cut in chunks
1/2 lb. shrimp, cleaned
1 tsp. Creole seasoning or salt and pepper
Preparation

In heavy, large skillet, saute onion in oil for 5 minutes. Add okra and cook until okra ceases to rope (about 15 minutes). Add tomatoes and continue to cook, covered, about 10 minutes.
Add shrimp and seasoning and continue to cook, covered, for about 15 minutes.
Serves 4 to 6.
