Mexican Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. water
    1 c. rice
    1 small onion
    1/4 c. green pepper, diced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 tsp. powdered cumin
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. oil
    sprigs of cilantro (optional)
    1/3 c. tomato sauce
Preparation
    Fry rice in oil until brown.
    Add onion and green pepper and brown lightly.
    Add other spices and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
