Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. dates, cut up
    1 c. flour
    2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. boiling water
    1/2 stick butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix brown sugar, butter, water and vanilla in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Pour into 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Mix rest of ingredients and drop into sauce.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 to 3/4 hour.
    Cool and serve with Cool Whip.
