Dutch Refrigerator Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugars.
    Add egg.
    Mix all dry ingredients and gradually stir into creamed mixture.
    Add nuts and make into 3 or 4 rolls.
    Refrigerate or freeze and slice thin to bake.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
