Chocolate Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. chocolate
    1/2 c.shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Melt chocolate and shortening; add sugar, egg, milk and vanilla.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder and add to above.
    Let stand until thick enough to drop in mounds. Drop on greased baking sheet.
    Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Frost if desired.
    Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
