Sun Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 1/2 c. cold water
    3 1/4 c. white vinegar
    2/3 c. pickling salt
    1/2 bud garlic
    1/2 tsp. powdered alum
    2 sprigs fresh dill
Preparation
    Pour over sliced pickles.
    Sit outside in sun for 2 days. Refrigerate after bringing them in.
