Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. boneless chuck steak
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    2 c. water
    3 bell peppers, cut in thin strips
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    cooked rice
Preparation
    Cut meat into strips 2 inches long.
    Heat shortening and brown meat.
    Stir in soup mix and water.
    Simmer, covered, 30 minutes. Stir in peppers.
    Simmer, covered, until peppers are tender.
