German Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 (4 oz.) pkg. German chocolate
1 c. shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. soda
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. butter flavoring
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, flavoring and buttermilk.
Sift flour, soda and salt together and add to shortening.
Mix well.
Stir in melted chocolate until blended. Pour into greased and floured 9-inch tube pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
