Cherry-Nut Slices - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. margarine or butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. candied cherries, halved
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients; blend well.
Stir in flour, cherries and pecans.
If desired, chill dough for easier handling.
Divide dough into thirds on 3 sheets of waxed paper; shape each third into roll 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Wrap; refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours.
Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cut dough into 1/4-inch slices.
Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove immediately.
