Sweet-Sour Oriental Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans French style green beans, drained
    1 can water chestnuts, drained and diced
    1 medium onion, chopped or sliced
    7 sliced bacon, crisply fried and crushed, reserve drippings
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. bacon fat
Preparation
    In a bowl, mix together green beans, water chestnuts, onion and bacon.
    In a small bowl, mix together sugar, vinegar and bacon fat.
    Stir into bean mixture to coat evenly. Pour into baking dish and let stand several hours or overnight.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
    Serves 6.
