Sauerkraut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. oleo
    1 medium chopped onion
    1 1/3 c. ground ham
    1 clove garlic, minced
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. sauerkraut broth
    3 c. sauerkraut, drained and then ground
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Melt oleo in a large frying pan and saute chopped onions slightly.
    Add ground ham and garlic.
    Brown slightly.
    Stir in flour and cook thoroughly (a few minutes).
    Add broth, parsley and sauerkraut.
    Cook a few minutes more.
    This should form a stiff paste.
    Chill in bowl and then form into one-inch balls.
    To bread them, dip in flour, then egg mixture of 1 egg and 1/4 cup milk, then in bread crumbs.
    Fry in hot fat (375\u00b0) until lightly brown. Makes 45 to 50.
