Lemon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    rind of 1 lemon, grated
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    juice of 1 lemon
Preparation
    Cream shortening and butter; add 1 cup sugar and lemon rind. Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Add milk. Fold in nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Mix lemon juice with remaining sugar.
    Pour over bread in pan when removed from oven. Let set for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
    Makes 1 loaf.
