Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. margarine
    1 c. sweet milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, salt and cream of tartar in mixer bowl.
    Drop in margarine.
    Add about 2/3 of milk and vanilla; beat on low speed for 2 minutes.
    Scrape bowl.
    Scrape beater at end of each stage.
    Add eggs and remaining milk; beat for 2 minutes.
    Bake in 2 deep 8-inch pans in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
