Ingredients

2 eggs, separated
juice of 2 lemons
grated rind of 1 lemon
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. sweet milk
4 Tbsp. butter, melted
3 Tbsp. flour
Preparation

Beat egg whites; set aside.
Beat egg yolks and sugar together.
Add milk, lemon juice, rind, flour and melted butter. Fold in beaten egg whites.
Pour into 1-quart baking dish (greased).
Set in shallow pan of water and bake at 350\u00b0 until firm and golden brown (about 35 to 40 minutes).
This dessert has a firm cake on top with a soft pudding underneath.
Best when completely cool.
