Helen'S Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. peeled, deveined shrimp
4 c. chopped celery with tender leaves
2 c. green peppers
3 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (15 oz.) can tomato puree (approximately)
3 bay leaves
4 c. chopped onions
2 medium cloves garlic, minced
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 lb. butter or margarine
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Saute onions, celery, peppers and garlic in butter until almost tender.
Do not brown.
Add tomato sauce, paste, puree, bay leaves, salt and pepper.
Simmer until flavors blend.
Add shrimp which are well drained.
Simmer about 15 minutes.
You may add cooked rice to Creole or serve over rice.
