Butterscotch Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. light cream
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, stir together cornstarch and brown sugar.
    Stir in cream, corn syrup and salt.
    Add butter.
    Cook, covered, on High 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes, until sugar is dissolved and sauce is thickened.
    Add vanilla and stir.
    Makes 1 1/2 cups.
