Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium size sweet potatoes
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cook unpeeled potatoes in boiling water until almost tender. Peel and cut in thick slices.
    Place in a greased baking dish. Bring to a boil the sugar, salt, water and butter.
    Pour over the sweet potatoes.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until potatoes are clear and syrup is thick.
    Baste occasionally to prevent top layer from drying out.
