Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. stick margarine or butter
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3 c. oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1 c. chopped raisins
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Beat together the margarine and sugars until light and fluffy.
    Beat in egg and vanilla.
    Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices; add to margarine mixture and mix in well.
    Stir in oats, nuts and raisins.
    Drop big rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 8 to 9 minutes for a chewy cookie.
    Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
