Quiche Lorraine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 9-inch crust or two 8-inch crusts
    1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 c. thinly sliced onions
    1 1/2 c. cubed Gruyere or any semi-soft cheese
    4 slices crisp bacon
    4 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 c. heavy cream and 1 c. milk or 2 c. light cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
Preparation
    Prepare pastry.
    Bake 5 minutes.
    If using frozen pie crusts, follow directions for crust to be filled.
