English Pea Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 small sweet red pepper, chopped
    1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    1 (5 oz.) pkg. medium egg noodles
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed and softened
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen English peas, thawed and drained
    1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, undrained
    1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
    10 round buttery crackers, crushed
Preparation
    Saute onion and red pepper in butter until tender.
    Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
    Add cheeses to hot noodles; stir until cheese melts.
    Stir in onion mixture, peas, mushrooms and pepper.
    Spoon into a greased 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Top with crumbs.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes. Yield:
    8 servings.
