Molasses-Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine
    egg,
    molasses,
    sugar,
    butter
    or
    margarine, lemon rind and lemon juice
    in
    a
    large
    mixing
    bowl, beating well. Combine flour, baking powder,
    soda and salt; add to egg mixture alternately with
    buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
    Mix well
    after each addition.
    Stir in pecans. Spoon batter in a greased and
    floured

    1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3-inch loaf pan, and bake at 350\u00b0
    for

    to
    55
    minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove loaf from
    pan and let cook completely.
    Yields 1 loaf.
