Molasses Crinkles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/3 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add brown sugar.
    Blend in egg and molasses. Sift and measure flour, salt, soda, cloves, ginger and cinnamon; stir in cream mixture.
    Mix well and chill 1 hour or overnight. Shape into balls size of walnuts and dip top in granulated sugar. Place, sugar top up, about 3 inches apart on greased baking sheet. On each, drop 2 to 3 drops of water.
    Bake 12 to 15 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
