Corn Bread Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. melted shortening
    2 c. self-rising meal
Preparation
    Beat egg.
    Add milk and melted shortening.
    Add this to corn meal. Bake in hot, greased pan in the shape of bread sticks or ears of corn.
    Put in hot oven (450\u00b0).
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Makes about 12 sticks.
